Fowl Mood Racing Scores Popular Victory on Autism Awareness Night at Brighton Speedway on Saturday Night; Team Donates Winnings to CNAF

Looking to build some momentum leading into some big events for the Fowl Mood Racing team over the next few weeks, driver Phil Potts was back at Brighton Speedway on Saturday night, hoping for a good night, with all money won during the night being donated to Canadian National Autism Foundation (CNAF).

The night didn’t start out all that well for the Fowl Mood Racing team, finishing with a fifth place finish in the qualifying heat race. After starting the 25 lap feature from third place, Potts battled through several cautions and a couple red flag incidents during a wild night of racing, and eventually came out on top, picking up the second win of the season. It was a special victory lane celebration as Fowl Mood Racing owner’s Stu and April Archer donated the winnings from the evening to the Canadian National Autism Foundation.

“We are pretty excited to win here on Autism Awareness night”, says Potts from victory lane. “It has been a tough season so far, and I really have to thank Stu and April (Archer), and the team and all of our sponsors for their continued support”.

Phil Potts and the Fowl Mood Racing team will return to Brighton Speedway this coming Saturday night. They are gearing up for a couple big event over the next few weeks including the third annual Great Crate Race at Brighton Speedway on September 7th, as well as a back to back event at Mohawk International Raceway on Friday, September 13th and Saturday, September 14th.

Fowl Mood Racing would not be possible without the support of our sponsors. We would like to thank Hutchinson Fuels, Indewey Excavating, Vanderlaan Building Supplies, Bill’s Johns, Gord’s Water Service and Brighton Recycling Inc. for all their support throughout the 2012 season, and we look forward to another great season in 2013.
