Although the 2012 season has been good for Phil Potts and
the Fowl Mood Racing team, the last two weeks haven’t gone the way the team had
hoped. The team anticipates that their
recent streak of bad luck is just a minor blemish on an otherwise solid season
for the Brighton, Ontario based team.
During the previous week, a flat tire late in the race
sidelined the team from a strong finish, and another flat would take them out
of the hunt on lap 13 this week. They
returned to the track on the lead lap, but would get caught up in a wreck that
would end their night early.
After a streak of three straight top five finishes before
this latest bump in the road, the Fowl Mood Team is looking forward to getting
back to the track this coming weekend, and starting a new streak of solid
finishes.
“It is frustrating sometimes because we know we have a great
car and a great team, but sometimes we just cant control the bad luck that we
have been having the last two weeks”, says Phil Potts after the race. “I do have to thank all of our sponsors,
crew, family and friends for their support, and hopefully next week will be
much better for all of us”.
Despite the two frustrating weeks, Potts still remains
second in track points at Brighton Speedway, just 135 points behind the leader
in the battle for Brighton’s Late Model championship.
