It was a big night for the Fowl Mood Racing team on Saturday
night as the offered up there winning from Saturday night’s events at Brighton
Speedway as well as the sales from t-shirts in support of the Canadian National
Autism Foundation. With their win at
Brighton, and the support from fellow competitors and fans, Fowl Mood Racing
was able to donate $1700 to the program, and was matched by team sponsor
Vanderlaan Building Supplies.
It was a perfect night for the Fowl Mood team as they swept
their qualifying heat race as well as the night’s 30 lap main event. Phil Potts started his heat race from sixth
place and was able to wheel the Fowl Mood Racing car to the lead. In the feature, he started from eighth place
and took over the top spot on lap 16 and went on to grab their fourth win of
the 2012 season.
“I am really happy that we were able to raise a lot of money
for the Canadian National Autism Foundation”, says Phil Potts after his win on
Saturday night. “We really appreciate the support from our fellow competitors
and the great race fans here at Brighton Speedway”.
This coming week, Potts will return to action on Saturday
night at Brighton looking for his second win and row and fifth of their great
2012 season. The qualifying heat race
win and the feature win has trimmed 50 points off last weeks deficit, and now
trails by just 140 points in the chase for the coveted Brighton Speedway
championship.
The Fowl Mood Racing team has September 8th
circled on their calendar, as Brighton Speedway hosts the Go Nuclear Late Model
Challenge Series in conjunction with the Great Crate Race $5000 to win event at
the track.
Fowl Mood Racing would not be possible without the support
of our sponsors. We would like to thank
Hutchinson Fuels, Indewey Excavating, Vanderlaan Building Supplies, Bill’s
Johns, Gord’s Water Service and Brighton Recycling Inc. for all their support,
and we look forward to a very exciting 2012 season.
