After a disappointing night last week at Brighton, and some
added frustration during a mid week race at Can Am, Phil Potts and the Fowl
Mood Racing team bounced back in a big way, leading every lap and dominating
the 30 lap Late Model Feature at Brighton Speedway on Saturday night.
After a strong second place finish in their qualifier, Potts
and the Fowl Mood Racing team made some adjustments to their car in preparation
for the main event. Starting from the
front row, Potts took the lead early and ran a flawless race, leading every lap
and dominating the entire race. The win
was their first in the 2012 racing season.
“I really have to thank Stu Archer and the entire Fowl Mood
Racing team for all their help”, says Potts.
“Everyone puts a lot of time in at the shop and here at the track to get
this car running better, and tonight it has all come together. I also want to thank our fans and sponsors
for their support throughout the season”.
This coming week, Potts will be back in action at Brighton
Speedway on Saturday night looking for his second win in a row. The following week will be a busy one, with
the first round of the Go Nuclear Late Model Series at Mohawk International
Raceway on Friday, June 9th.
Fowl Mood Racing would not be possible without the support
of our sponsors. We would like to thank
Hutchinson Fuels, Indewey Excavating, Vanderlaan Building Supplies, Bill’s
Johns, Gord’s Water Service and Brighton Recycling Inc. for all their support,
and we look forward to a very exciting 2012 season.
